Jocelyne Léger-Nowlan

Associate Lawyer

After several years as a family lawyer with the New Brunswick Legal Aid Services Commission, I joined private practice and have been practicing in both official languages with my current team since 2014. Previous to that, I also worked as legal counsel for the former Family Mediation Program offered by the province of New Brunswick.

In my practice, I’ve concentrated on family law, an area in which I’ve gained tremendous expertise thanks to my past experience with New Brunswick Legal Aid Services Commission. I thrive under pressure and relish a challenge, so a career involving negotiation, litigation and mediation was a natural fit for me.

Since joining the private sector, I have also grown a practice in the area of surrogacy and fertility law.  I have been invited as a speaker at the national level on this topic, and continue to help families deal with legal issues surrounding these life changing family decisions.

Outside of my law practice, I keep busy with activities involving my husband and three kids, and stay active through running and exercise.
