SARA SCALETTA

Student-at-Law

Studying law has been a dream ever since I can remember!

I am originally from Manitoba, but travelled to New Brunswick to pursue my studies in Law in my native language. I loved the culture so much, that I decided to stay. Prior to embarking on this adventure, I completed a Bachelor in Social Work. During my studies I completed a couple practicums, one of which was in a Legal Help Centre, giving me a sense of how the legal community works. I was also fortunate enough to be part of a pilot program during my last year of school, and travelled to Senegal in Africa to work amongst young boys who had either run away from home or had been abandoned. After my studies, I worked as a Government case worker for just over a year, working one on one with individuals and families.  Family law seemed like a natural path to choose. I am very excited to be starting my legal career with such a dedicated team ready to explore alternative paths to “going to court”.

You might not know that…

•    I am perfectly bilingual, in French and in English.

•    I was part of the Gale Cup 2018, representing Université de Moncton

•   I was an Italian folk dancer for close to 20 years, and had the chance to travel across Canada with Le Ragazze Italiane.
