What You Bring
3+ years of legal experience, preferably in family law
Experience handling family law matters such as divorce, parenting arrangements, child support, spousal support, and property division
Practical courtroom experience is considered an asset
Member in good standing with the Law Society of New Brunswick, or eligible for admission
Strong advocacy, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
Excellent legal research, drafting, and analytical skills
Strong client service and interpersonal skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset
Key Responsibilities
Manage and advance family law files from intake through resolution
Provide legal advice to clients on family law matters
Draft legal documents including pleadings, agreements, and court materials
Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and negotiations
Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to achieve the best outcomes for clients
Maintain strong professional relationships with clients while providing compassionate and practical guidance
